Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the church should not participate in political processes. He emphasized that the activities of religious institutions should be outside political goals and interference in state governance is unacceptable.
The editorial reports that Pashinyan disclosed information about the inflow of shadow financial resources into the country, intended for political purposes through various formats of the Armenian Church. According to him, such financial flows can pose a risk to the country's political stability and transparent governance.
The Prime Minister noted that religious organizations should act as a moral support for society and not become tools for political struggle and financial influence mechanisms. He did not rule out that this issue would be seriously investigated and appropriate steps would be taken within the legal framework.
