On January 15, 2026, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, received a delegation led by Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the participation of members of the Pakistani government.
During the reception, the Prime Minister once again expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the support provided in the creation of the first "ASAN xidmət" center in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister noted that "ASAN xidmət" centers will be established in the capital, Islamabad, and in several provinces of Pakistan in a short period. He also stated that the activities of the "Pakistan ASAN xidmət" center will be regularly monitored and gave instructions to the government members in this regard.
During the meeting, the role of "ASAN Viza," established on the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in increasing the flow of tourists from Pakistan to Azerbaijan was specifically emphasized. The Prime Minister of Pakistan conveyed that they also wish to benefit from our country's "ASAN Viza" experience.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov, also participated in the meeting.
