On November 7, 2025, an event titled “The Victory of Our Glorious History” was organized at the Ordubad District Culture Palace, dedicated to “November 8 – Victory Day”. The event was attended by Rajab Rahimli, Head of Ordubad District Executive Power, deputies representing Ordubad district in the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, martyr families, veterans, war participants, military personnel, and heads and employees of the district's departments, enterprises, and organizations.
The event began with a minute of silence to honor the dear memory of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by the playing of the National Anthem.
In his speech, Rajab Rahimli, Head of Ordubad District Executive Power, emphasized that Victory Day is one of the most glorious pages in the heroic history of the Azerbaijani people and congratulated the event participants on this day of victory. The Head of the Executive Power noted that Azerbaijan's historic victory in the 44-day Patriotic War, as well as the local anti-terror measures carried out in 2023, played a significant role in the full restoration of our country's sovereignty.
At the foundation of this victory lies the far-sighted political course of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. The strong school of statehood created by the Great Leader is successfully continued today by President Ilham Aliyev. The strengthening of our army, the increase in our country's international prestige, and the successes achieved are precisely the result of this strategic policy. In his speech, Rajab Rahimli deeply honored the dear memory of our martyrs, emphasizing that their heroism is an eternal source of pride for our people, and that the dedication of our veterans and war participants is one of the most valuable pages of our Victory history.
Subsequently, Ramil Nabiyev, a deputy of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and Ragib Bakhshiyev, a veteran of the First Karabakh War, delivered speeches. They noted that November 8 – Victory Day is a historic day reflecting the national pride of the Azerbaijani people, the might of our army, and the unwavering will of our nation, stating that the sacred memory of our martyrs will always be held high.
In the artistic part of the event, a literary and artistic composition dedicated to Victory Day was presented by students of Vanand village full secondary school.
