As Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ascended the podium to address the United Nations General Assembly, many foreign representatives left the hall. Against the backdrop of these events, hundreds of people took to the streets outside the UN building to protest Netanyahu. Benjamin Netanyahu faced protests both inside and outside. During his speech, the Prime Minister made strong statements regarding events in the Middle East and Israel's military operations.

The editorial board reports that Netanyahu claimed "half of the Houthi leadership has been destroyed," stating that Yahya Sinwar, Hassan Nasrallah, and the Syrian regime "no longer exist." He declared that "Iran's nuclear facilities have been struck" and claimed that German Chancellor Merkel admitted Israel was doing the West's "dirty work." During his speech, Netanyahu accused Iran of attempting to assassinate Trump twice and stated, "Iran must not be allowed to restore its military nuclear capabilities."

Although the Israeli Prime Minister called on UN members to "stand with Israel," a large part of his speech was directed at empty rows. Netanyahu emphasized that the Israeli army had "taken measures no army in history has ever taken" to minimize civilian casualties in the war in Gaza, yet according to the latest figures, over 65,000 civilians have died in the conflict. The Prime Minister's statements were met with shouts of protest from the representatives who remained in the hall.
