Notifications Regarding Data Queries to Citizens Have Started on the "mygov" Platform

New functionality has been launched on the "mygov" digital government platform. Citizens are now receiving notifications about their data being queried by private entities.

Thus, citizens can more promptly track which entities are querying their data via the "mygov" application and web platform. As soon as a query occurs, the system automatically sends a notification to the citizen through the "mygov" application. By clicking on the notification, the user can navigate to the "Notifications" module and obtain more detailed information via the "Go to History" button. If a citizen does not wish to be queried by the company (entity) mentioned in the notification, they can enter the "Permission Management" module and close the relevant query.

The main purpose of the new functionality is to increase citizens' control over their personal data. Thanks to this feature, citizens are informed in a timely manner about their data being queried and can monitor the process more easily.

Queries are grouped into seven categories according to their content: personal data, employment, family, education, transport, social protection and security, and communication. As a result, citizens know which entity and under which category their data is being queried, and they can monitor their data circulation more efficiently.

The digital management of citizen consents for the use of personal data is also one of the opportunities provided by the "mygov" platform. Through the "Permission Management" section, citizens can track data queries conducted by private companies, manage their given consents, determine their validity period, and also stop or reactivate them whenever they wish.
