A powerful cyclone named "Frances" moving towards Moscow could cause anomalous snowfall in the capital. According to meteorologists, intense precipitation will be observed in the city area in the coming hours, and a sharp increase in snow cover is expected.

The editorial office reports that, according to weather forecasts, thirty-three millimeters of precipitation could fall in Moscow within the next twenty-four hours. This figure significantly exceeds the record level of twelve point nine millimeters recorded in nineteen seventy-six.

Experts state that as a result of the precipitation, the snow cover thickness could reach approximately half a meter. The scale of the cyclone is clearly visible in satellite images, indicating a significant change in weather conditions.

According to synoptic forecasts, the cold air masses forming over Moscow could move towards the South Caucasus in a few days. Therefore, a drop in temperature and snowfall in some areas of Azerbaijan are not ruled out.
