Mazahir Panahov to observe elections in Kyrgyzstan

A delegation led by Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan, has paid a visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to information provided to Redaksiya by the CEC, the main purpose of the visit, realized at the invitation of Tynchtyk Shaynazarov, Chairman of the Kyrgyz Central Election Commission, is to observe the snap parliamentary elections to be held in that country on November 30 as an international observer.

CEC representatives are expected to familiarize themselves with the general preparation processes for the snap parliamentary elections until election day, and also observe voting procedures at polling stations in the capital on election day.

The CEC delegation will also participate in the second meeting of the Consultative Platform of Supreme Election Bodies of member countries of the Organization of Turkic States, to be held in Bishkek on November 28.

It should be noted that CEC representatives in the snap parliamentary elections in the Kyrgyz Republic are also represented within the international observation missions of the Turkic States Parliamentary Assembly, the Organization of Turkic States, OSCE/ODIHR, and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
