Problems have arisen in the Baku metro since the morning hours.
According to "Qafqazinfo", trains moving towards the "Hazi Aslanov" direction stopped in the "Inshaatchilar" and "28 May" tunnels.
We have sent an inquiry to "Baku Metro" CJSC regarding the issue.
In response to our inquiry, Bakhtiyar Mammadov, the press secretary of "Baku Metro" CJSC, stated that due to passenger congestion, exceeding the line limits and holding the doors have been observed: "As a result, trains enter stations at lower speeds and stop on platforms for longer than normal. Consequently, trains following behind also have to stop in tunnels and stations. Since the Red and Green lines intersect and merge at the "28 May" station, the effects have caused general delays on both lines at several stations. We ask our passengers to adhere to safety rules on platforms to avoid delays." (Qafqazinfo)
