The Central Bank is conducting the “Household Financial Behavior and Intentions” survey to collect information on household consumption and savings behavior and intentions, to learn their opinions on the factors influencing these decisions, and to obtain information regarding household debt burden and their ability to repay it.
Household consumption and savings behavior and intentions form the basis of aggregate demand and act as one of the factors in the formation of inflation levels and expectations. On the other hand, the debt burden and its servicing affect the financial stability and solvency of households, playing a significant role in shaping their consumption and savings decisions.
The information obtained through the survey is of great importance for the analysis and forecasting of several macroeconomic indicators, as well as for making monetary and financial stability policy decisions.
To ensure the survey covers a wide range of respondents, it is planned to be published on the official website of the Central Bank starting from 25.09.2025. The survey is planned to be conducted 4 times a year, once per quarter. We invite all population groups to actively participate in the survey. The survey can be accessed via the following link:
