US Senator Lindsey Graham, a close friend and golf partner of President Donald Trump, has demonstrated a tough stance against countries purchasing Russian oil.
The editorial office reports that Graham assessed Trump's decision to take action against countries supporting Putin's “war machine” by buying cheap Russian oil as a “game-changing” move: “These countries are about to pay a heavy and overdue price.”
Although he thanked countries in Europe that are helping Ukraine, he criticized some European states for buying oil from India: “Don't forget that India bought that oil from Russia. We see this. This must stop immediately.”
Graham's statement is regarded as a sign that Washington will strengthen its control against the indirect purchase of Russian energy resources.
