Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, visited "Məlhəm Hospital".
The editorial office, citing AZERTAC, reports that Leyla Aliyeva began her visit at the fully automated laboratory section, which meets modern standards, and then familiarized herself with the activities of the Emergency Department. She inquired about the quality and efficiency of the services provided there and met with doctors.
During the visit, Leyla Aliyeva also visited the radiology department. She was given detailed information about the latest generation tomosynthesis mammography device put into use there. It was noted that, according to international studies, by 2031, one in eight women may be at risk of breast cancer. For this very reason, "Məlhəm Hospital" has brought advanced medical equipment to the country, and special emphasis is placed on the early detection of diseases.
Later, Leyla Aliyeva familiarized herself with the examinations performed on children in the ultrasonography room. She showed particular interest in the examination of children with Down syndrome and other spectrum disorders, and received information about the work being done in this field in our country. It was noted that in recent years in Azerbaijan, thanks to high-tech equipment and professional specialists, screening examinations are carried out on time, as a result of which the number of births with spectrum disorders and severe diagnoses has significantly decreased.
