Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that by the time European states decide to recognize Palestine within two months, there might be nothing left to recognize.
According to Lavrov, the current trend indicates a rapid deterioration of the Palestinian issue, and Europe's delayed actions may not be capable of changing the situation in the region.
The Russian minister called on the international community to take responsible steps, protect the rights of the Palestinian people, and create real mechanisms for a just resolution of the conflict.
Lavrov added that political will and timely decision-making are vital to prevent the crisis from deepening further.
