European politician Kallas, via social media platform X, appealed to the US, stressing the importance of not letting disputes arising around Greenland distract from the issue of Ukraine. She stated that disagreements among allies only serve the interests of Russia and China.
The editorial reports that according to Kallas, if there are risks related to Greenland's security, this issue can be discussed and resolved within the NATO framework. She noted that dialogue within the alliance is a more effective and appropriate path.
Kallas also stated that possible trade tariffs would have negative economic consequences for Europe and the US, weakening overall prosperity. In her opinion, the main priority should be to continue efforts aimed at stopping Russia's war against Ukraine, and existing disputes should not hinder this goal.
