Heydar Aliyev International Airport has achieved another strategic milestone by prioritizing passenger safety and comfort.
The editorial office reports this, citing the airport.
According to the information, the "Rapid Recovery System (R2S)" technology developed by "ResQtec," one of the world's leading companies, has been added to the technical infrastructure of the airport, which serves as Azerbaijan's main air gateway.
The "R2S" system, considered the "gold standard" in the aviation industry, makes aircraft ground movement more stable and secure, facilitating uninterrupted flights. The advantage of the technology is that the entire process is carried out in a single step and without interruption, minimizing the need for additional intervention and making operations more agile and reliable. Additionally, this process is only executed after passengers have fully disembarked the aircraft.
Currently, Heydar Aliyev International Airport is the only airport in the region equipped with this technology. This achievement transforms Azerbaijan not only into a geographical hub but also into the most reliable choice for transit in terms of technical reliability, increasing its attractiveness for international traffic.
As part of preparations for the implementation of the new technology, employees successfully completed "ResQtec's" international training programs. First, courses held in the Czech Republic, followed by an intensive 5-day program organized in Baku, enabled specialists to acquire the most up-to-date knowledge in equipment management.
"ResQtec" technologies are already successfully applied globally at leading airports such as Toronto, Manas, Vienna, Geneva, Tallinn, Ostrava, Changi, as well as by prestigious airlines like "Qatar Airways," "Air France," "Etihad Airways," and "Air Canada." Azerbaijan's integration into this ecosystem strengthens our country's position as a reliable partner in the global aviation family.
"The implementation of 'ResQtec' technology is a significant step in the modernization of Azerbaijan's aviation infrastructure. This move signifies greater reliability and, at the same time, is an indicator of our country's strengthening position in the international aviation family," emphasized Teymur Hasanov, Director for Operations of Azerbaijan Airports.
Heydar Aliyev International Airport will continue its modernization policy by investing in innovative technologies.
