Computer games help maintain attention, develop memory and fine motor skills, and also weaken age-related cognitive changes.
Oxu.Az reports that Russian psychiatrist Ruslan Isayev spoke about this in an interview with gazeta.ru. He discussed the benefits of computer games for elderly people.
According to the expert, this is not just entertainment, but an exercise for the brain. However, the expert clarified that games do not rejuvenate the brain. Therefore, Isayev recommends avoiding complex and dynamic games that can cause fatigue. According to him, playing 15-30 minutes a day is considered optimal.
"The best are simple and easy-to-understand games with short sessions: "Minesweeper", checkers, "Solitaire", puzzles, "match-three", "spot the difference", quizzes, word creation games," he added.
Isayev also stated that specialized cognitive trainers available on online platforms are also beneficial for strengthening memory and attention.
