Türkiye's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated that planes taking off from Cyprus played a role in Israel's attacks in Gaza and strongly criticized this situation.
The editorial office reports that Fidan said during his speech: “Planes taking off from Cyprus caused many Palestinians to lose their lives. I don't know how they will atone for that sin, how they will overcome that cooperation. The Greek Cypriot side is already buying weapons from Israel and is excessively arming itself.”
The minister added: “Weapons are our business. They have never fought a war. They shouldn't even think about this matter.”
According to Fidan, the military cooperation of the Greek Cypriot side with Israel seriously undermines stability in the region, and this arms race creates a dangerous imbalance in the Mediterranean region. He called on the international community to act responsibly and not remain indifferent to the situation in Palestine.
