According to the National Hydrometeorology Service, the weather is expected to be rainy in the coming days, with intense precipitation in some areas, short-term floods from some mountain rivers, and lightning. Additionally, there is a possibility of avalanches in high mountainous areas due to strengthening westerly winds and rising temperatures.
In connection with the above, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has appealed to the public, urging them to observe the relevant safety rules.
Thus, to protect against floods and inundation that may be caused by intense rainfall, it is recommended to stay away from flood-prone areas and to immediately ascend to higher ground if facing such a danger.
At the same time, to protect against lightning-related hazards, it is necessary to disconnect electrical appliances from the network, avoid talking on the phone (landline, mobile, payphone, etc.), avoid approaching power lines, lightning rods, gutters, and antennas when outdoors, do not take shelter under tall trees and choose a relatively low-lying place for this purpose, and if in a car, stop the vehicle, close the windows, and wait for the lightning to stop.
Furthermore, considering the risk of avalanches in some high mountainous areas, it is recommended to avoid areas prone to avalanches, including steep slopes.
Remember: Indifference to rules is a danger to our lives!
In case of danger, call 112!
