The State Examination Center has made changes to the foreign language examination model at the full secondary education level (11 years), and the new model will be applied starting from 2027.
Könül Hacıyeva, Head of the State Language and Foreign Languages Department of the State Examination Center (SEC), stated this at an event titled "Assessment of Foreign Language Subjects at the Full Secondary Education Level: New Approaches and Perspectives."
She noted that, according to the innovation, the exam will consist of 26 tasks:
"Of these tasks, 25 are closed-ended, and 1 is a writing task. Four closed-ended test tasks will be presented for the listening comprehension section. Reading comprehension will be assessed with a total of 8 test tasks, consisting of 2 parts. For grammar, applicants will be given 13 test tasks. Writing skills will be assessed separately through 1 task."

From next year, 11th-grade students will also write an essay in the foreign language subject during graduation exams
