Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen stated in her speech that the forceful seizure of another country's territory is unacceptable. She emphasized that any state's claim to control another country's sovereign territories is contrary to international law.

The editorial reports that Mette Frederiksen noted the American president's desire to control a part of the Danish Union and said that this is impossible under any circumstances. According to her, such an approach seriously violates the principles of alliance.

The Prime Minister stated that if the US takes military action against another NATO member country, the existing security system will completely collapse. She noted that this would deal a serious blow to NATO's operations and the security architecture formed after World War II.

Frederiksen added that Denmark has been a reliable ally for many years, and Greenland is also an integral part of NATO. In her opinion, steps taken without considering this reality could create a deep crisis within the alliance.
