Annual inflation in France accelerated towards the end of summer, adding to similar trends observed in Spain and Belgium. This increase indicates the complexity of the economic situation within the European Union (EU) and is a cause for concern among politicians and economists.

Redaksiya reports that, according to data from the French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 0.5% in September compared to August, bringing the annual inflation rate to 4.9%. This figure represents an increase compared to the 4.8% rise recorded in August. Despite stable energy prices, rising prices for services and food products have impacted the overall inflation level.

Similar trends are also observed in Spain. According to data from the Spanish National Institute of Statistics (INE), annual inflation in September was 3.2%, which is higher than the 2.6% recorded in August. In Belgium, inflation was registered at 4.7%. These increases occur against the backdrop of the European Central Bank (ECB) raising interest rates with the aim of keeping inflation at 2%. Economists note that this trend could negatively impact the EU's economic growth and may require politicians to take additional measures.
