The Electronic Security Service has identified indicators related to the activity of "infostealer" type malware that targeted certain information systems across the country and facilitated the capture of user login credentials.
As a result of initial analysis, 859 computer systems across the country were infected with the aforementioned malware, and 54,924 user names and password credentials were seized from these systems.
Currently, the Service is actively engaged in data analysis, identification of potential victims, as well as assessing and mitigating the possible extent of impact, and providing methodological support in these areas.
It should be noted that the obtained indicators will be promptly processed and directly submitted to the relevant authorities.
The Electronic Security Service urges all organizations and citizens to strengthen cybersecurity measures and to report suspicious activities via the 1654 "Hotline" or the email address info@cert.az.
