Redaksiya reports that on October 28, 2025, the opening ceremony of the BMC Tank and New Generation Armored Vehicles Production Plant and the delivery of the first New ALTAY tanks took place in Kahramankazan, with the participation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Officials speaking at the ceremony emphasized that Turkey has become one of the world's leading centers for the production of tanks and armored vehicles. It was stated that 96 ALTAY tanks would be produced annually on a 682,000 square meter area using robotic welding systems.
This significant event marks the beginning of a new phase in the development of Turkey's defense industry. The production of ALTAY tanks will not only enhance the combat capabilities of the country's armed forces but also contribute to supporting local production and economic development.
