Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has visited China after six years. Within the framework of the visit, he has already held meetings with the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
The editorial office reports that Erdoğan is also expected to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the second half of the day. These contacts are said to take place within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's summit of heads of state.
The main topics of discussion are expected to be regional security, energy cooperation, and the peace process in the South Caucasus.
