As of April 1, 2026, the amount of state-guaranteed debt (domestic and external debt) stood at 6 billion 762.4 million manats, or 5.2 percent of the projected GDP for 2026.

The editorial office citing the Ministry of Finance, reports that 5 billion 186 million manats (3 billion 50.6 million dollars) or 76.7 percent of the state guarantee accounts for external state-guaranteed loans, while 1 billion 576.4 million manats or 23.3 percent accounts for domestic state-guaranteed loans.

A significant reduction in external state-guaranteed debt was due to the repayment of foreign currency-denominated bonds amounting to 2,000 million dollars, attracted with a state guarantee by "Southern Gas Corridor" CJSC.

As of April 1, the currency composition of the state-guaranteed debt portfolio was as follows: Dollar – 47 percent, Euro – 25.5 percent, Manat – 19.4 percent, Japanese Yen – 2.7 percent, other currencies – 5.4 percent.

As of the reporting date, 40.1 percent of the state-guaranteed debt portfolio consists of fixed-rate obligations, and 59.9 percent consists of variable-rate obligations.
