The Ministry of Emergency Situations has issued a warning regarding the expected weather conditions.

This information was provided by the ministry.

It was stated that according to the National Hydrometeorological Service, unstable and rainy weather is expected across the country in the coming days, with snow primarily in mountainous and foothills regions, which may be intense in some areas. Temperatures are predicted to drop significantly, and strong winds are expected in some places.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations appeals to the public, urging them to strictly adhere to relevant safety rules:

"As cold weather conditions lead to a significant increase in the use of gas and electric heating devices, strict adherence to fire safety rules must be observed when using these devices. Faulty, non-standard, or homemade heating devices should not be used, the electrical network should not be overloaded, and operating heating devices should not be left unattended.

At the same time, citizens, especially those living in mountainous areas or traveling to the mountains, should avoid leaving their settlements as much as possible in frosty and snowy weather. If such a necessity arises, they should inform their relatives about their travel direction in advance and ensure that their vehicle's technical specifications are suitable for the season and that they have sufficient fuel reserves. It is recommended to stay away from areas prone to avalanches, including steep slopes, and to return to settlements before dark.

Furthermore, during strong winds, it is recommended to stay away from light-constructed and temporary buildings, as well as billboards and advertising boards, and not to stand under electric poles, wires, or tall trees. Also, considering the difficulties created by strong winds in extinguishing fires, fire safety rules must be particularly strictly observed in windy weather."

It is reported that the weather conditions in Azerbaijan will change in the coming days, with temperatures dropping, and negative degrees expected, especially during the night and morning hours. Snowfall is anticipated in mountainous and foothills regions.

This information was provided by the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads.

It was stated that for this reason, drivers are requested to be extremely careful, especially when traveling on roads passing through mountainous and foothills areas. Special attention should be paid to ensuring that the vehicles they operate are technically sound and suitable for the winter season, and are equipped with at least winter tires.

Failure to comply with the aforementioned requirements may lead to difficulties in vehicle movement, which in turn may cause obstacles for other road users, leading to congestion and delays on the roads. At the same time, such situations may also hinder the timely arrival of the Agency's special equipment for snow removal and road maintenance to the necessary areas.

Therefore, the agency recommends that drivers take the weather conditions into account and be prepared for their journeys.
