Individuals Selling Illegal Sturgeon and Caviar Exposed

Investigations are ongoing regarding individuals engaged in the illegal sale of various marine products, including sturgeon caviar, under the guise of fish caught from the sea via social networks. As a result of a joint raid conducted by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture's Fisheries and Aquaculture Center and employees of the Investigation and Inquiry Department of the Police Department for Water Transport, individuals involved in such illegal activities have been identified.

During the raid, one 8-kilogram sturgeon, 3 specially packaged jars of sturgeon caviar each weighing 1355 grams, and 7 specially packaged jars of sturgeon caviar each weighing 113 grams were discovered. According to the preliminary expert opinion, it is presumed that the sold fish products were raised in farm conditions.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
