In recent years, the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and innovations in this field have dominated the agenda. Computer manufacturers have also tried not to lag behind this trend, starting to integrate AI functions into their products. However, recent data shows that consumers are not yet buying computers for AI features.

Redaksiya reports that Dell has announced that consumers are not buying computers for AI functions. In an interview with "PC Gamer" publication, Dell representative Kevin Terwilliger stated that the company's 2026 products will not be AI-based. Terwilliger noted that Dell pays attention to the AI capabilities of devices and all new products have NPUs (Neural Processing Units). However, over the course of the year, especially from the consumer perspective, they have learned that consumers are not making purchases based on AI. Terwilliger added that AI appears to be confusing consumers more than helping them.

Dell's announcement is an important indicator of how AI is being perceived in the computer market. Although the company continues to integrate AI into devices, it is re-evaluating how much importance consumers place on these features. This is a trend that could affect the future strategies of computer manufacturers.
