Scientific research shows that quality sleep significantly improves brain function before starting the weekly work routine. This leads to increased attention and faster reaction times.
The editorial reports that during experiments conducted on soldiers, individuals who slept for 10 hours showed extended attention spans and shortened reaction times. Similar results were observed in athletes, where additional sleep increased their productivity and accuracy.
However, this type of sleep accumulation is not effective in cases of chronic sleep deprivation. In such situations, regular sleep of 7-8 hours should first be ensured for a few days, after which sleep can be 'caught up' on.
