China has begun to apply artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the field of public security. According to Global Times, AI-powered robot dogs have already joined police patrols in the country.
The editorial office reports that new-generation robot dogs are being deployed for patrol duty on city streets and, thanks to modern sensor systems, can perform real-time surveillance, crowd management, and threat detection functions.
According to officials, this technology will not only reduce the burden on police officers but also enable faster response to emergencies.
