Novruz Festival Held in Horovlu Village, Jabrayil

A festival was organized in Horovlu village, Jabrayil, as part of initiatives by the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan regions. The event included the opening of the Horovlu village market and a fair of agricultural products and handicrafts, jointly organized by the Restoration, Construction, and Management Service and "Agrarian Procurement and Supply" OJSC in the Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan regions. Sales opportunities were created for farmers and investors from various regions.

Within the festival, entertaining games and traditional performances were presented by Novruz holiday characters such as Bahar qızı, Kosa, and Keçəli. Additionally, an enjoyable concert program was organized featuring performances by musicians, singers, ashugs, a choir, dancers, and artists. A puppet show was presented in a special zone for children, along with interactive flash mobs and quizzes, and gifts were distributed.

Residents participated in a competition with creative samani they prepared as the main symbol of the Novruz holiday, competing for first place. A jury composed of public figures determined the winners based on creativity, aesthetics, and other categories. Gifts were presented to the participants who won in various nominations. A master class on preparing samani halva with the participation of master chefs was met with great interest. At the festival organized in the Horovlu village park, guests tasted lavash, fasali, and katata prepared on a saj, as well as chirishotu katata, considered an endemic plant of the region.

The Novruz festival, which featured rope walkers, wrestlers, egg painters, and others, concluded with the Yalli dance, a symbol of unity around the holiday bonfire.
