Starting today, a pilot project for the implementation of school buses is being launched within the framework of the "State Program for the Improvement of Transport Infrastructure in Baku and Surrounding Areas for 2025–2030".

This was reported by the "2 school" startup company.

It was stated that, in the initial stage, the project will cover more than 1250 students. The main goal is to reduce traffic congestion caused by parents daily taking their children to and from school. For this purpose, more than 100 buses will operate within the project through the "2 School" startup company. The project will cover 8 public and 3 private schools.

Parents will be able to easily track the route of the school bus their children use through special online platforms.

Among the schools where the pilot project will be implemented are the Elite Gymnasium named after Ilyas Afandiyev, School-Lyceum No. 6, Full Secondary School No. 8 named after Lieutenant General K.A. Karimov, School-Lyceum No. 20 named after A. Huseynzade, Full Secondary School No. 23 named after Tahir Hasanov, Khatai District Full Secondary School No. 27, Educational Complex No. 132–134, and Full Secondary School No. 189–190, all located in Baku.

The monthly subscription fee for using the bus service will be determined based on the distance. Discounts are provided for families of veterans and martyrs, as well as for families whose second child attends school.
