The fair is organized by “Aqrar Tədarük və Təchizat” OJSC, which is under the Ministry of Agriculture.
The main purpose of organizing the fair is to support local farmers' access to the market, provide them with alternative sales points, and at the same time, increase urban residents' access to natural, local, and healthy agricultural products.
Approximately 55 farmers from nearly 30 regions will participate in the fair, selling up to 120 varieties of agricultural and food products.
The quality of the products offered for sale here is controlled by the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency.
Agricultural products sold at the fair are cheaper compared to other markets. The reason for the lower prices is that farmers sell their products directly without intermediaries. Furthermore, since participation in the fair is free, it leads to a lower cost price for the products brought to the market.
Nilufər Qaçayeva, press secretary of “Aqrar Tədarük və Təchizat” OJSC, stated in an interview with journalists that the main purpose of holding the fair is to provide urban residents with agricultural products on the eve of holidays.
It should be noted that the Fair is organized on weekends from 9:00 to 19:00 at Fətəli xan Xoyski Street, 5, Nərimanov district (next to "Gənclik" metro station). At the "Seasonal Fair", farmers are provided with stalls, scales, and other necessary equipment free of charge.
