Currently, it should be noted that one of the important directions of cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic is the energy sector. During his meeting with the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Andrey Babiš, who was on an official visit to our country these days, the Head of State, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, drew special attention to this issue among many others.

Mr. President noted that for many years, the two countries have acted as reliable partners in this field. Azerbaijan's energy resources, especially oil exports, play an important role in the energy security of the Czech Republic. Azerbaijani oil is delivered stably to the Czech market, and this has a significant share in ensuring that country's energy balance. Today, we can confidently say that Azerbaijan has long been recognized as a reliable and stable partner in world energy markets.

The country's energy policy is built on principles of commitment to international obligations, sustainability of supply, and long-term cooperation. These characteristics position Azerbaijan as a reliable exporter in the global energy market. Ilham Aliyev also highlighted in his speech that Azerbaijan is valued by its international partners, including the European Union, as a reliable energy supplier. This confirms the correctness of the country's energy policy and its reliance on long-term cooperation. The aforementioned points suggest that Azerbaijan-Czech energy cooperation should not be limited to existing oil exports but should also encompass renewable energy, energy efficiency, and new technologies in the future. Increasing mutual investments and implementing joint projects in this direction can further strengthen the energy ties between the two countries.
