Amidst ongoing economic difficulties in the United Kingdom, warnings are being voiced about a potential need for international financial support. According to experts, rising government spending and inflationary pressures could compel the government to seek new financial sources.
The editorial office reports that Professor Jagjit Chadha of Cambridge University stated in an interview with “The Daily Telegraph” that the UK government might be forced to request a loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). According to him, the current instability in economic policy and the budget deficit make such a scenario realistic.
Experts add that if the government's financial course does not change in the coming months, obtaining support from the IMF could become inevitable. This would affect the country's position both in the domestic political environment and in international markets.
Economists emphasize that strict reforms in public administration and expenditure control mechanisms must be implemented to prevent the situation from worsening further.
