A significant portion of serious road traffic accidents occur precisely as a result of violations of overtaking and maneuvering rules. An ill-considered move into the oncoming lane, improper assessment of road visibility, speed, and excessive self-confidence can turn into an irreversible tragedy in an instant. This risky decision endangers not only the driver but also innocent people on the road.
The editorial office reports that this is reminded in a call to drivers from the Main State Traffic Police Department (BDYPİ).
The Department also states: “Overtake only when permitted and safe. Prioritize responsibility over haste. Remember, it is not worth risking lives for a few seconds of gain. Follow the rules, protect your life and the lives of others.”
