Snowfall in Baku, Roads to Become Icy

The expected weather conditions for February 5th have been announced.

According to the National Hydrometeorology Service, the weather in Baku and the Absheron peninsula will be partly cloudy to overcast, with precipitation expected to be mostly dry. However, there is a possibility of precipitation and snowfall in some areas on the night of the 4th to the 5th and in the evening. The intermittently strengthening northwesterly wind will be replaced by a northeasterly wind during the day. The temperature will range from 2 degrees Celsius below zero to 1 degree Celsius above zero at night, and 2-4 degrees Celsius above zero during the day.

Atmospheric pressure will rise from 767 mm to 770 mm of mercury. Relative humidity will be 70-80%.

Icy roads are expected in some suburban areas during the night and morning hours.

In some regions of Azerbaijan, intermittent precipitation and snowfall are expected. There is a possibility of heavy precipitation in some places. Precipitation will gradually cease in the morning, and the day will be mostly dry. Fog is expected intermittently in some areas. A moderate westerly wind will blow.

The temperature will be 1-5 degrees Celsius above zero during the day and at night, with 3-8 degrees Celsius below zero in the mountains at night, and 8-13 degrees Celsius below zero in high mountainous areas, and 0-3 degrees Celsius below zero during the day.

Roads will be icy mainly in mountainous and foothill regions.

It should be noted that sleet and snow have been falling in Baku since this morning.
