Commemoration ceremony for Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei held in Baku

On April 10, a commemoration ceremony was held in Baku on the occasion of the 40th day of the passing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

AZERTAC reports that Azerbaijan's Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, representatives of government and the public, and religious figures participated in the ceremony.

The ceremony began with a recitation of the Holy Quran.

Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office and Sheikh-ul-Islam, delivered a speech, sharing his memories of Seyyed Ali Khamenei and speaking about his rich spiritual legacy and his role in the Islamic world. The Sheikh-ul-Islam also expressed his wish for the cessation of conflicts and disasters occurring worldwide, and his aspirations for peace, tranquility, and prosperity for humanity.

Iran's Ambassador to our country, Mojtaba Damirchilou, spoke about Seyyed Ali Khamenei's life path, his activities in state and religious spheres, and his contributions to the Islamic world. He particularly emphasized Azerbaijan's solidarity, humanitarian, and moral support from the first days of the tension, expressing gratitude to our country for this.

Subsequently, religious figures spoke about religious values and spiritual heritage. The memory of the deceased was honored with respect, and his religious and public activities were highly praised.

It should be noted that a commemoration ceremony was also held today in Nakhchivan on the occasion of the 40th day of the passing of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

It is worth recalling that Iran's supreme religious leader Ali Khamenei passed away on February 28. The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, sent a letter of condolence to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian regarding his passing and also visited the Iranian embassy in Baku to write his heartfelt words in the book of condolences.
