Today, a fish fair commenced its activities in the capital with the participation of the Fisheries and Aquaculture Center of the Ministry of Agriculture. The fair is organized in the Nasimi district of the capital, in the area of Keshla Fish Market (near the 3rd micro-district circle).
Ceyhun Aliyev, Director of the Fisheries and Aquaculture Center, officials, farmers, and entrepreneurs participated in the opening ceremony.
At the fair, which will last for 3 days, fish and other seafood brought from various regions of the world, as well as those caught from the Caspian Sea, are presented to buyers.
The fish products offered for sale here are available at more affordable prices compared to other markets.
It should be noted that the main purpose of holding the fair is to help farmers bring their products to the market, to establish connections between farmers, processing enterprises, and buyers, and to prevent artificial price increases in the markets. The prices of products offered to the public are 25-30 percent lower than market prices.
The fact that the products offered for sale were below market price was also pleasing to buyers. Both sellers and buyers expressed their satisfaction with the high-level organization of the sales fair.
