The creation of pedestrian zones (corridors) in Baku city continues within the framework of the “State Program for the Improvement of Transport Infrastructure in Baku City and Surrounding Areas for 2025–2030.”

This was reported by the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA).

This time, the possibilities for optimally connecting Atatürk and Antena parks, two more extensive pedestrian zones in the capital, were analyzed. The project was submitted to the Transport Coordination Council and approved after review.

Work will soon begin in the square adjacent to the entrance of Atatürk Park, at the northern exit of the “Gənclik” metro station.

It should be noted that this area has always been a place with numerous obstacles for pedestrians and unregulated parking spaces. The aim of the implemented project is to transform this area into a comfortable urban environment for pedestrians as well.

Within the framework of the project, a modern and attractive public space will be created at the entrance of Atatürk Park, featuring a green zone, benches and gazebos, a children's playground, and other facilities. This will establish a pedestrian connection between Atatürk and Antena parks, as well as public transport and commercial facilities. The project will also enhance the safety of residents and tourists during their strolls.
