Large-scale repair works are being successfully carried out by the Azerbaijan State Agency of Automobile Roads with the aim of facilitating the daily lives of the capital's residents and adequately preparing the city of Baku for an international event.
This was reported by the Azerbaijan State Agency of Automobile Roads (AAYDA).
The works carried out to ensure the comfortable and safe movement of citizens, as well as in preparation for the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), are being implemented based on a specially prepared plan.
According to the initial plan, the repair process was supposed to cover the holiday period from March 23-30. However, despite the weather conditions being more unstable than expected, causing some delays, the completion of the repair works is targeted within a short period.
Intensive works are being carried out at 42 different locations, and a total of 151,849 square meters of road surface will be renewed.
Thanks to the staff working continuously day and night, the roads are being made smoother, safer, and more comfortable.
These measures contribute significantly to adapting the capital's road infrastructure to modern requirements, increasing the ease of traffic flow, and ensuring the city is highly prepared for the international event.
