A regular consultation was held at the Executive Power of Baku City with the participation of heads of the city's communal services.
According to the Press Service of the Executive Power of Baku City, issues related to eliminating the consequences of heavy rainfall over the past three days, strengthening these efforts, and taking operational measures for flooded courtyards and private houses were discussed at the consultation chaired by the Head of the Executive Power of Baku City, Eldar Azizov, and relevant instructions were given.
The work carried out in Nizami, Khazar, and Sabunchu districts to eliminate the consequences of the rain was considered positive, while it was noted that measures related to the rain were poorly implemented in some districts. As a result of the monitoring, it was noted that the areas most affected by the rain were informal settlements built without any construction norms, and the heads of the District Executive Powers were personally responsible for eliminating the consequences of the rain in these areas.
It was decided at the consultation to hold a large-scale city-wide clean-up event on March 30.
At the meeting, the joint activities of the city's communal services, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Azerbaijan State Agency of Water Resources in eliminating the consequences of the rain were deemed commendable, and it was decided to further expand these efforts.
