The declaration of 2025 as the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty” in our country, by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated December 28, 2024, carries special historical and moral significance. This decision coincides with the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution and the 5th anniversary of the victory in the Patriotic War, making it of great importance for strengthening statehood traditions and promoting the values of sovereignty more widely.
As part of the measures implemented within this framework, "Azərpoçt" LLC, one of the AZCON Holding companies, has also contributed by issuing a postage stamp dedicated to the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty”.
The presentation ceremony of the stamp was held on December 5 at the National Flag Museum with the participation of official representatives from "Azərpoçt" LLC, the Seaside Boulevard Administration, and the National Flag Museum. At the opening of the event, the Director of the National Flag Museum, Könül İmamverdiyeva, welcomed the attendees and provided detailed information about the museum and the exhibits displayed there.
Following this, Ağacan Əhmədov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Seaside Boulevard Administration, delivered a speech on the activities of the National Flag Square, the repair and restoration work carried out at the square, as well as the services provided to the square. He also noted in his speech that the flag flying at the National Flag Square has been listed twice in the Guinness Book of Records for its dimensions.
İsi Mustafayev, acting Chairman of the Board of "Azərpoçt" LLC, emphasized in his speech the importance of issuing the stamp for conveying the spirit of sovereignty and the message of statehood to future generations, both domestically and in the international postal space. He stated that this stamp carries a great moral weight as a symbol of loyalty to statehood and adherence to national values.
Within the framework of the event, an informative museum tour was organized for the guests, and an exhibition dedicated to national and state attributes was presented. Subsequently, stamps dedicated to the theme of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty” were gifted to the museum, and a short film about the construction of the Flag Square was shown.
