In January of this year, Azerbaijan's state budget revenues amounted to 3 billion 707.3 million manats, while expenditures reached 1 billion 437.6 million manats.
The editorial reports, citing the Ministry of Finance, that this is 8.5% and 35.9% less, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
Budget revenues were executed 0.9% above forecast, and expenditures were 4.2% below forecast.
As a result, a budget surplus of 2 billion 707.3 million manats (29.8% of GDP) was generated last month. This is 28.9% more than a year ago.
During the month, budget revenues from the State Tax Service of the Ministry of Economy amounted to 2 billion 50.3 million manats, exceeding the forecast by 50.3 million manats or 2.5%. Revenues from the State Customs Committee amounted to 487 million manats, exceeding the forecast by 2 million manats or 0.4%. Revenues from the State Service for Property Issues of the Ministry of Economy amounted to 4.9 million manats, exceeding the forecast by 0.2 million manats or 4.4%. Other revenues amounted to 31 million manats, exceeding the forecast by 3.1 million manats or 11.2%. Revenues from paid services of budget organizations amounted to 64.1 million manats, which was 26.9% less than forecast. Transfers from the State Oil Fund amounted to 1 billion 70 million manats, which was 100% executed against the forecast.
