The request submitted by the Prosecutor General's Office regarding the extradition of Azerbaijani citizen Sevinc Əlisəfa qızı Huseynova, who was subject to an international search, has been granted by the competent authorities of the Republic of Turkey.

The Press Service of the Prosecutor General's Office released information about this.

It was reported that during the preliminary investigation of the criminal case conducted by the Surakhani District Prosecutor's Office of Baku city, reasonable suspicions were established that Sevinc Əlisəfa qızı Huseynova, while serving as a school director, used her official position to fraudulently appropriate a total of 69,000 manats from several individuals.

For this reason, a decision was made to charge Sevinc Huseynova with committing fraud by using her official position, causing significant damage, and repeating the act, as well as abusing her official powers. An international search was declared for her as she evaded investigation and went into hiding. As a result of operational-search measures, Sevinc Huseynova was detained in Turkey.

Measures are being taken by the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice to bring Sevinc Huseynova to our country.

At the same time, the Prosecutor General's Office continues its close cooperation with foreign partner institutions, including Interpol, to identify individuals on the wanted list in foreign countries and bring them to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that S. Huseynova headed Baku City Full Secondary School No. 278. She was dismissed from her position last year due to shortcomings in her work.
