The Cabinet of Ministers has amended its decision dated April 22, 1998, titled "On the Rates of Customs Duties for Export-Import Operations in the Republic of Azerbaijan".
In this regard, Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a new decision.
According to the decision, henceforth, based on a confirming document from the Ministry of Economy, only electric motor-powered buses imported by residents of industrial parks for the purpose of industrial production (assembly), without seats, handrails, and with no monitor installed, have been exempted from import customs duty.
With the amendment made by the Cabinet of Ministers to its document titled "Nomenclature of Goods for Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Rates of Import Customs Duties, and Rates of Export Customs Duties", a 15% import customs duty will be applied to only electric motor-driven buses without seats, handrails, and with no monitor installed.
This Decision comes into force on August 1 of this year and will remain in effect until January 1, 2027.
