A bilateral meeting was held between the parliamentary delegations of Azerbaijan and Armenia within the framework of the 23rd autumn session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Istanbul.
This was reported by the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis.
The meeting took place based on an agreement reached within the framework of discussions held between the Speakers of the Azerbaijani and Armenian parliaments in Geneva on October 21 this year.
During the meeting, the positive role of the Washington summit was noted, and an exchange of views took place regarding the agreements reached and the next steps taken towards strengthening peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as the importance of the support of both countries' parliaments for this process.
During the conversation, the role of parliaments in the confidence-building measures implemented between the two countries was touched upon, and the importance of constructive dialogue among parliament members within the framework of international organizations was also emphasized.
