Azerbaijani Entrepreneurs Received 707 Million Manats in Preferential Loans with State Guarantee

As of April 1st this year, Azerbaijani entrepreneurs have been provided with 707.3 million manats in loans under preferential terms, guaranteed by the Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund, with 23.2 million manats of this amount falling within the first quarter of 2026.

Within the framework of the mechanism, the average term of guaranteed loans to date is 30 months, the actual annual interest rate on loans to be paid by entrepreneurs, due to the provision of subsidies for a portion of the interest calculated by the Fund for business loans, is 6.8%, and the amount of credit allocated per entrepreneur ranges from 30 thousand manats to 5 million manats.

The loans have been directed towards sectors related to the production and processing of industrial products, agriculture and food industry, construction sector, tourism and infrastructure development, machine and equipment manufacturing, and the trade and service sector. More than 6,000 new jobs are planned to be created through projects financed by loans allocated to entrepreneurs via the Fund's guarantee and interest subsidies.

At the same time, in accordance with the decree of the country's President dated August 24, 2022, the range of entrepreneurship support tools has been expanded to increase access to financial resources for micro and small entrepreneurs operating in the non-oil sector, as well as for issuing companies, and two new tools are being successfully implemented: credit portfolio guarantee for loans taken by entrepreneurs in manats, and guarantee mechanisms for the obligations of issuers (entrepreneurs) on bonds. Within the framework of the portfolio guarantee mechanism, 5.3 million manats have been guaranteed for 7.1 million manats in loans received by 426 entrepreneurs to date, and 1.2 million manats have been guaranteed for 1.6 million manats in loans received by 62 entrepreneurs in the first quarter of 2026. Within the framework of the mechanism for guaranteeing obligations on bond issuance, a total guarantee of 6 million manats has been provided for a bond issuance of 10 million manats.
