A bilateral roundtable discussion, bringing together representatives of civil societies from Armenia and Azerbaijan within the framework of the “Peace Bridge” initiative, is being held in Armenia on February 13–14, 2026. This was reported by the Armenian press.
In addition to the main participants of the initiative, a broad delegation from both sides is participating in the event. The Azerbaijani delegation arrived in Armenia by crossing the land border after completing all relevant procedures.
This is considered an important practical step towards strengthening trust between the two countries.
During the discussions, the parties will review the processes stemming from the peace agenda approved during the Washington Summit on August 8, 2025. The following topics are being discussed within the framework of the sessions:
Development of a regional security architecture, social and economic benefits of peace, public opinion on inter-societal relations, prospects for economic cooperation, and the role of civil society in increasing mutual understanding and trust.

The Armenian delegation includes representatives from various analytical centers, media outlets, and non-governmental organizations. Among them are Areg Kochinyan, National Coordinator of the Armenian Council; Boris Navasardyan, Honorary President of the Yerevan Press Club; Naira Sultanyan, Director of the Democracy Development Foundation; Naira Martikyan, Country Director for Armenia at JAMnews; Armen Petrosyan, Regional Policy Expert at the Orbeli Center, and other public and political figures.
Participants from the Azerbaijani side
The Azerbaijani delegation includes Farhad Mammadov, Director of the South Caucasus Research Center; Rusif Huseynov, Director of the Topchubashov Center; Kamila Mammadova, Editor-in-Chief of 1news.az; Ramil Iskandarli, Chairman of the National NGO Forum; Fuad Abdullayev, representative of the Center for Analysis of International Relations; Emin Aliyev, Editor-in-Chief of the TREND agency; representatives of the CBC television channel, and other experts.
The event demonstrates the activation of public diplomacy channels in parallel with official negotiations between the two countries. (anews.az)
