The strategic goals of commercial banks operating in Azerbaijan were discussed at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
The editorial reports that the Chairman of the CBA, Taleh Kazimov, announced this on his LinkedIn social network account.
According to him, the first meeting of 2026 with the heads of commercial banks was held at the institution: "Within the framework of the meeting, we discussed the results of the banking sector's performance for 2025, development prospects, as well as the main structural and existing challenges that could affect financial stability. During this time, we talked about the measures taken and planned to strengthen the sector's resilience, deepen financial intermediation, and improve the regulatory framework. We had an extensive exchange of views on the strategic goals for the current year, as well as priorities for further strengthening regulatory and supervisory mechanisms."
