In the first 6 months of 2025, 10,036.62 tons of pharmaceutical products were brought to Azerbaijan.
Valyuta.az reports, citing statistical sources, that Azerbaijan paid 259 million 390.48 thousand US dollars for the import.
According to statistics for the same period last year, 11,631.00 tons of pharmaceutical products were imported to Azerbaijan. An expenditure of 248 million 59.55 thousand US dollars was incurred for the import.
If we compare the annual report, the import of pharmaceutical products to Azerbaijan decreased by 1,594.38 tons in January-June of this year, and at the same time, a decrease in expenditure was also observed. Specifically, compared to last year, 11 million 330.93 thousand US dollars less was spent on these products in the first month of this year. The result suggests a 4.57% decrease in the import of these products.
In the first 6 months of the current year, pharmaceutical products accounted for 2.25% of total imports, while in the same period last year, they accounted for 2.80%. This suggests that the share of these products in total imports decreased by 0.55%.
